Who I am!

I’m Shannon Matthews, and that’s me vibing ^

My video editing journey began in 2008 with Windows Movie Maker and Vegas Studio, evolving through to Sony Vegas Pro. I've embraced the powerful Adobe editing suites to bring my creative visions to life. I’m proficient in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Adobe Audition. My experience also includes editing within an Avid Media Composer workflow, performing time-code syncing, audio restoration, sound design, and engineering across a multitude of projects—both personal and online.

It’s often the unseen elements that evoke the strongest feelings and spark our imaginations. I have always believed that sound is the most vital aspect of film, alongside lighting; it’s what cultivates atmosphere and emotion. My love for film and cinema transcends genre—it’s about the essence of storytelling. Crafting something enduring and impactful is an art.

“I dream for a living”—Stephen Spielberg. This resonates with me as I often perceive life as a unique algorithm, a natural wave that flows. Just like life, cinema exists in a state of constant evolution, embracing change in the most beautiful ways.

I’ve worked on a variety of personal projects and numerous online YouTube productions, including animation, live action, and short films. Collaborating with production companies such as Random Tree Productions and Illumination Cinema has enriched my experience.
